Control and share your rig using Linux and HamLib
A short retrospective:
Years ago I started to use Linux as my favorite operating system (1993? I cannot rember - I left any kind of Windows since year 2000). Later I became a HAM and would like to control my rigs using HamLib.
Not a big deal, but my point of view: use a local connected rig! This was working, but due to the fact, the USB-Port changed every reboot I was searching for a better solution.
Wiriting UDEV-rules and so on to have always the same serial port connected to the same rig - not my way!
Later on I identified "/dev/serial/by-id/*" - wow! I could access always the wanted serial port and correct rig!!!
